A collection of photos from Joanne Mockus, daughter of Walt Mockus who ran the lawnmower repair shop on Westwood Avenue in River Vale for many years. Includes shots of her families homes in both River Vale and Hillsdale.

Stills From PVH Construction Film

In 1957 Ernest Roth, a member of the Pascack Valley Hospital Association and an amateur 16mm film maker undertook to document the construction of the new hospital in the Pascack Valley. Now that film has been uncovered and will be shown throughout the valley. This is a collection of 60 still images from that film.

RUTGERS CARTOGRAPHY SERVICES MAPS OF BERGEN COUNTY

TROPICAL STORM FLOYD ACTION AND DAMAGE 1999
A collection of 126 video stills from video footage shot in Park Ridge during and immediately after tropical storm Floyd by Ned Barber and Kerry Butler. Images show rescue operations at the flooded Pond Ridge develoment and the Sulak Lane handicapped housing. Detailed damage is shown in the Park Ridge munipal building, library, firehouse, and on various fields and bridges. Also shown is damage at the Quackenbush lumber yard.

Collections added during February 2008

QUACKENBUSH LUMBER COMPANY
A collection of 40 photos from the Quackenbush Lumber Company was provided by Al Quackenbush. The photos show the lumber yard, equipment and some employees and family members. Included are some photos of the flood when the original Mill Pond damn burst. Photos appear to be from the mid-1900s. Collection is titled Park Ridge - from Quackenbush Lumber.

PARK RIDGE LIBRARY
A collection of 27 photos was provided by Chris Doto, Director of the Park Ridge Library. The photos (both color and BW) show the original library construction in the 1970s, the 1986 25th anniversary and dedication of the first expansion, and the damage done to the library and the municipal complex by tropical storm Floyd in 1999.

WOODCLIFF LAKE AND WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP
Two collections of slides were provided by Bill Wassmann. Bill, and his late wife Muriel, were the Emerson Historians for more than 30 years. In addition to collecting Emerson history, Bill is an avid photographer and documented many historical sites throughout the Pascack Valley. Some are still standing but many have gone the way of the bulldozer and many of his photos are the last known images of these historically interesting structures.

A collection of 30 photos, both exterior and interior of the well known Seven Chimneys house in Washington Township. They include images of the period furniture decorating the house in the 1975. There are also photos of some people in period costumes as part of an organized house tour done at the time.

A collection of 63 color photos of numerous Woodcliff Lake historic sites taken from 1971 through 1995, They include many photos of Tices' and Van Riper's farms as well as several historic homes both demolished and still occupied.
